Plot Summary:Laosheng is a 50-year-old veteran. He has suffered a lot in his life. He has to look after his disabled daughter and choose a partner from three women. But, eventually, he lives a happy life. In his hardest time, Laosheng gets help from Laoleng, who is also a veteran, and Sister Qi, his kind-hearted neighbor. Unfortunately, Laoleng dies in an accident, leaving his daughter-in-law Ai Mei who just goes through bankruptcy and his grandson Leilei to Laosheng. Faced with the big change in his life, Laosheng stays strong and optimistic. He willingly takes care of Ai Mei and her son by taking various kinds of jobs, such as nursing workers, vendors and etc. Sister Qi is a blunt kind-hearted woman. She has feelings for Laosheng. But Laosheng gently turns her down. With time passing by, Ai Mei is deeply touched by Laosheng. They fall in love with each other. At the same time, Ai Mei also finds her goal of life. However, at this moment, Laosheng's ex-wife comes back for him. Laosheng and Ai Mei's relationship is faced with troubles and difficulties again. In order to save his daughter, Laosheng is severely injured in a car accident, which makes Ai Mei realize what Laosheng means to her. In the end, they two join hands and start a new page of their lives.
