Plot Summary:Ma Yuru was a police station director. Finally, she welcomed her retirement day and returned to her family to start her elderly life. However, she found that the small and trivial matters in life were far more complex and difficult to solve than the accidents and disputes in the station. Ma Yuru has a son and a daughter, Ding Manyi and Ding Ruyi. Ding Manyi had a failed marriage and was now raising his son Ding Dang alone. One day, Ding Manyi met the gentle and virtuous Bai Yan, and the two gradually developed feelings. However, at this moment, former father-in-law Cheng Daji suddenly appeared, causing twists and turns in Ding Manyi and Bai Yan's future path. Not only that, Ding Ruyi also met a man named Cheng Gong and fell in love, who turned out to be Cheng Daji's nephew. Just as Ma Yuru's family was making a fuss, Ding Manyi's long lost ex wife Cheng Lu was suddenly revealed to have passed away.
马玉茹（宋丹丹 饰）是一名派出所所长，终于，她迎来了退休之日，回到家庭开始了她的老年生活，却发现，生活里的大小琐事，要远远比所里的事故纠纷要来得复杂和难以解决。马玉茹有一儿一女丁满意（肖央 饰）和丁如意。丁满意有着一段失败的婚姻，如今独自抚养着儿子丁当，某日，丁满意结识了温柔贤惠的白燕（姜妍 饰），两人渐生情愫，可就在此时，前岳父程大吉（倪大红 饰）却突然现身，使丁满意和白燕未来的道路充满了波折。 　　不仅如此，丁如意亦邂逅了名为程功的男子，坠入情网，而这个程功，竟然是程大吉的侄子。就在马玉茹一家老小闹得鸡飞狗跳之时，丁满意失踪已久的前妻程璐（何苗苗 饰）忽然被爆出已经去世。
