The film starts with loads of Charlize Theron's horrible singing pieces, which dulls me into wondering if it's a good decision to watch it for fun. However it surprisingly turns out that this one is such a precise and perfect injection to cure what's going on among my friends and I.
She was a popular party queen in high school before and then after being hitting by a marriage failure, she went back to town and was trying to fix life by getting back with her ex-boyfriend. It looks absurd and bizzare to everyone else since the guy is happily married, busy taking care of his new girl. She apparently believed that her allure and the history could change everything. It ended with the finishing of the book for young adult, however it is just that her becoming mature that ends the embarrassment and sadness.
Well about my friends and I, we have a problem with what happened in the old times as well. I have this lovely girl,my best friend who had two boyfriends as a teenager is absolutely losing her mind in thinking about them over and over again. She repeats their stories, tells me about seeing them in her dreams and keeps connecting all the conversation with this two guys. For me it feels like I have to be "friends" with another two "non-existing" boys since they are always there in our chats.
I am not complaining for I also share the problem and thankfully it is slightly less worse than hers. I couldn't get over the guy in high school even when I met the jerk and now I've caught the jerk's accent when I speak English. Damn it! However I've decided not to look back even if there are words on the street, there is plenty fish in the sea, good for me!
Growing up means that you can never look back no matter how sweet the memories seem, I am not telling you that you can not have your way to memorize it, a little more of good words for people that have being in your life are always welcome.
